Mahasiswa UIT Lirboyo Lolos 10 Finalis Esai Se-Jawa Timur

KEDIRI- Students of Tribakti Islamic University (UIT) Kediri, consisting of Muhammad Fatah and Taufiq Ramadhan from the study program (Religious Education Isam/2021), Dewi Ayu Intan Lestari and Ahmad Rifal Pauzi from the study program (Sharia Banking/2020), have successfully entered 10 finalists in the essay competition in the 2023 “Islamic Economic Competition” throughout East Java. This competition was held by HMPS Sharia Economics State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Kediri.

The four of them consisted of two groups, namely the GASS TEAM with the theme “Economic Empowerment of the Sea of Shipping Villages in the Era of Society 5.0”. They highlighted the economy in Indonesia which still lacks protection and lack of training in human resource empowerment in the seafront areas. Meanwhile, TIM LAGI FARIQ raised the theme “Promotional Strategies in Increasing Effective Sales through the Tiktok Platform“. The theme reviews where many business people use digital marketing through TikTok to increase sales turnover. Where this platform is loved by young people for shopping now.

The race timeline runs September 25-October 4, 2023 and the winner will be announced on October 14, 2023. The technical implementation of the competition was carried out through two stages, namely writing essays as a whole, then the 10 best finalists who then made offline presentations at the IAIN Kediri Rectorate Building.

As a form of preparation for participating in the competition, these students diligently look for references such as journals, books, and see the latest news related to the economy. They also prepare themselves mentally and maturely in preparation for presentations by making power points to get maximum results.

For Fatah, Rama, Rifal and Intan, being nominated in the top 10 even though they had to lose, does not mean that their spirits are down and never give up for an instant. However, making the starting point part of the journey of life and becoming a pride in the learning process.

Finally, they all hope to take part in these competitions in the future, both at national and international levels. With this, they can make achievements and hope to be an example for other UIT Lirboyo, Kediri students. “They will use this status to achieve a myriad of achievements and buy experience with self-challenging capital”.
